August 2004

Hey everyone,

Life is a trip, just when you think you have a handle on everything something pops up and you realize “God has blessed me up until this point of my life.  No matter what - he will only give me as much as I can handle.  I still have a lot of soul searching to do, to find out who I am and what I represent”.  I find this to be true when you encounter hurdles in life.  Just when you think you’ve reached a comfortable level of success you’re faced with another challenging hurdle to get to the finish line.  It’s a never ending cycle of life….I guess that’s what makes life so REAL and worth living.  Ok sorry to get so deep on you guys ;) but it’s something to think about.

The show this past Saturday was great.  Thanks to all the fans that came out and supported.  A special shot out for the folks at Prime Image and Marine World for putting on a fantastic event.  I got to check out Alvendia doing her thing on stage and she was amazing as always.  All the other performers rocked it and the crowd showed much love and appreciation for their local artists.  That’s what it’s all about!  ;)

I’m still working round the clock to record material for the album.  The album should be ready by end of this year.  It’s been great coming up with new tracks.  I have a few more projects coming along the way.  I’ll be making a few more trips to So Cal to finish up some new material and it’s going to be straight poppin let me tell you…..I feel like I’m continuing to grow as a songwriter and vocalist.  There’s so much I want to say about love, life, pain and drama. Writing music and working in the studio is such a release for me.  I keep making positive strides in my career and I’m driven to finish a project that’s strong and a good representation of who I am.

As I mentioned before I got accepted to participate in this year’s NYC Marathon on Sunday November 7.  You don’t know how juiced I am to run this race.  It’s going to be an experience of a lifetime.  I may be hurtin a bit but it’ll be all worth it.  Running is another release for me.  I just get into a zone when I start running.  I average anywhere between 20 to 28 miles a week.  I guess I’m a little crazy about running but again it’s something I enjoy doing because of the discipline you endure.

Well it’s a late night…..enjoy your week…I know I’ll be working hard too.  Thanks again for continuing to support my artistry.

 Much Love,

Christine Joy
